I have a huge problem! My search modul is not so good. It cant find every products. Even if i type its name. Is there any solutions?

Hi everybody,

I have the same problem. In particular when a product has more than 100 attributes (colors) it doesn't appear in searches!!!

if you search product 788988, you can't find it. Of course you surf the categories you'll find it under "FILATI/100M"

 

How to fix this problem?

I noticed this problem 3 days ago too. I use multistore. Sometimes it evens happen that in one store I can find a product but in the other with the same keyword it doesn't appear. Strange behaviour indeed.

Try rebuilding the index in: BO > Preferences > Search

In my case this was probably a cron job issue. I will check the search better in future. Anyway I think search function should be improved. Ther should also be a cms search from my opinion.

Disable Ajax in search and check if it works, maybe you need a good cache system like Memcached or a good server.

Unforunately the system of attributes in PrestaShop is really bad when you are using many attributes in products. Other alternative solution is trying with the module Attribute Wizard Pro
