In 1.6 you just go to Proferences -> Themes -> Advance setting button situated on the right of Configure your theme. After that, scroll down to Appearance of columns, look on the left for CMS and click on the left column X icon. That should bring your left column into cms pages. I use 1.6.0.11 But i cant find any row that say "CMS" ! or do you mean like "About us"-row ?
