After Upgrade to 1.6.0.14 'No carriers available'

Recommended Posts

Hello,

After upgrading from 1.6.0.13 to 1.6.0.14 I get the message 'No carriers available' when I have to choose a carrier in the Check Out area.

I checked my 'Zones' and 'Carriers' like I found in earlier posts with the same error.

When I install a totally new shop with version 1.6.0.14 I get the same error.

What do I have to do about this error?

When installing a totally new version (1.6.0.14) some modules are gone. Loyalty Program and Database cleanup are no more in the module list...

Regards,

Koen

Can't help unless we can see how you have these configured

I have installed v1.6.0.14 and both of these modules are in the module list ready for me to install

Carrier settings look correct, are you sure you are using an address in one of those Zones during checkout?  I also notice multistore in one of the screen shots...are you sure you have multistore configured correctly?

Also not every single module is provided in the core package, you need to go to your modules page in the back office, search for the module and install it

Everything worked in v16.0.13 with my Multistore so I asume the multistore is configured correctly... My address is in Europe so... I't very strange... I can give you my teamviewer account (in Private Mail) so you can see the config yourself.

I did some step by step control.

  1. Clean install 1.6.0.14  | Carriers OK  :)
  2. Activated Multishop with 'Shares customers' and 'Share available quantities to sell'  |  Carriers OK  :)
  3. Activated 'Advanced Stock managment'  |  Carriers FAIL
  4. Deacitvated 'Advanced Stock managment'  |  Carriers OK
  5. Activated 'Stock Managment  |  Carriers OK
  6. Reactivated 'Advanced Stock managment'  |  Carriers OK

If somebody understands why, please let me know... Very strange things and the stock is not going down on a sale in the advanced stock managment... So now the 'Advanced Stock Management' is not working...  :(

Grrr...

EDIT Topic: When I Deactivated 'Adv. Stock' (Action 4) the field 'advance_stock_managment' in ps_product ans ps_product_shop Changed to '0', that's why the carriers are visible. When you reactivate 'Advanced Stock managment' (Action 6) the fileds in ps_product and ps_product_shop stay at '0' so that's why the stock does not update. My conclusion: When the fields 'advanced_stock_managment' in ps_product and ps_product_shop are set to '1' you get the msg 'no carries available'...

Ok, I found it.  :)

The problem was that in the warehouse there was no carrier selected...

This is a bit confusing because in the 'Shipping area' of a product you don't need to move your carriers to the selected area to use all the carriers. In the warehouse area it's the opposite you HAVE to move a carrier to the selected area... Sometimes Prestashop does not follow the same standards...

But after a few day and lots of re-installing I found it, me lucky  :D

Hope this will help you all.

Greetings,

Koen

Koen, you are right. After the update all my shipments were for free, but I could not found out the issue. I spend a lot of time changing my carrier settings. Finally, thank you Koen, I found out one click can solve the problem:

- go in the menu to stock (voorraad)

- click warehouse (magazijn)

- scroll down and add your carrier and save it.
