Business customers don't pay tax?

Hello

I have set up a Prestashop-webshop but I have a serieus issue.

First of all, let me state the situation:

The webshop has some business clients from other EU-countries. When they order, they don't have to pay taxes. To manage this, I tried out 2 modules but they didn't really seem to work. I have disabled both of them, but one issue remains:

When I, als a local business client, make an order, the system doesn't apply taxes as well? Which it should, of course!

Any ideas how this is possible, or, even better, how this can be fixed?

Thank you very much in advance for any suggestions!

This works for us

We use the VAT module (European VAT number v1.7.2 - by PrestaShop)

The way it works is that everyone in the EU zone pays VAT (this is correc). If a business makes a purchase from outside your country, but still in the EU then they MUST enter their VAT number . If they enter their VAT number then they are not charged VAT

Thanks for the information! Although, I have disabled this module now (I kept on searching and one of the suggestions that came across was to disable that module), and it appears to be working as it should... Very strange...

I'll test things out now and see if I can use this module again, while keeping things work as they should of course.
