Adding Static HTML pages to PS Shop

michaelbragg

Question

Is there a way in Prestashop to add static HTML or other web format pages when a visitor clicks on the link, it's not a product page, but say a map to the store, or service video, or other information?

Thank you in advance for any and all assistance it is greatly appreciated.

Also is there a way to use something like an outside source like Google Maps and have the link open in a frame or HTML page within your store to keep customers in your store?

You can include static content to your product pages/CMS by using the editor. Or at least by adding them as a hardcode on a tpl-file.

To include iframes you should activate the feature on your back-office on the tab "Preferences -> general -> Allow iframes on HTML fields = YES".

You are speaking about JS content and not HTM static pages. Nevertheless also iIn this case you need to activate this option how I described, cause Prestashop do not allow foreign code in his code (scripts are compiled each time they are in work) and you should add the content to your header or footer.tpl on your theme as hardcode.

If you pretend to adapt you shop with foreign coding and extra modules I will not recommend Prestashop Cloud Hosting. Take an own host on which you are more flexible. Prestashop Cloud is created for user with no technical knowledge and as use it out of the box without any adaptations. Only configure and use without any extras.
