How to create a "new products" category?

Recommended Posts

Hi, im using a xml import solution and would like to show all new products as a category.

As for now they are showing on front.
But I have up to 200 new products from time to time and I dont want that on my home front office.

I have not found a module for this.

Please advise.

Regards

M

hello

you can just create "new products" category and associate each new product with this category.

but it's not great solution, you will have to associate new products with this category all the time, in addition - you will have to remove old products from it too.

what to do?

front office controller that will show new products.

it's a part of default prestashop installation

open page:

http://yourshop.com/index.php?controller=new-products

Hi, thanks for your answer. But maybe someone will build a module for this?

The service need to auto driven, no chans to controll all that flow manually.

M

as nemo stated - new products page in prestashop is created automatically,

for what purposes you want new module? to create the same page as "new products" default page?

it's a kind of redundancy ;-)

Great stuff.

My question is, how do you edit the content of that page /new-products ?

I would like to add text content, just below the H1 and before the products.

- I do have the module custom content block enabled

- using panda theme

Or is it a case of add the text content on a tpl file, where is that file located?

Thank you

Thanks

Vekia, you are right, it's "kind of redunancy".

But what if I need to filter these new products by features, like in any other category?
