PS ver 1.5.6.1 Trying to modify Products Table

Hello everyone,

 

I've just started working with Prestashop for the fun of it. I'd like to try and make a module (rather than modifying the admin products controller) that adds some functionality to the product listing page in the back office administration screen.

 

Essentially I would like to be able to modify the base price of an item without actually entering the edit form section. This way I could update items faster than going into each item separately.
