Prestashop Social Connect Facebook Module

Recommended Posts

Hi *,

I've downloaded this module from modulebazaar.com and it perfectly works to register in Prestashop store with your facebook account.

The problem is that, by default, the module is hooked in displayTop and, from a graphical point of view, it is positioned in an ugly place. (see screenshot 1)

I would like it to be positioned both in the black area on top of header (where you have the "enter" link - see screenshot2) and in the authentication page (authentication.tpl) - see screenshot3

Do you know how should I do it? I'm working a lot on them, but I'm not able to move forward anyway. :(

Thanks for your support.

Hi Vekia,

just tried it, but I'm no allowed to transplant the module to displayNav (navigation).

Any other suggestion?

In the manual I can read that I should modify the authentication.tpl, but it is not clear how (see attachment(.

Ciao

in this case you have to ask modulebaazar to add this feature... or develop it itself

anyway, it's a paid addon so it shouldn't be a problem for them since it's not so hard :-)

Actually I was able to download it for free yesterday :D
So it is a free module right now ;)
Anyway, ok I will ask them how to put the icon on top of page and in authentication.tpl.

I believe the example in the attached image is referred to an old version of Prestashop; I tried to put the $HOOK_EGR_FBLOGIN code in authetication.tpl (after having transplanted the module in fblogin hook) but nothing happens.

Any help from your side or from anybody who already used this module is welcome.

It would be welcome as well a hint about another free module to perform login and user registration using facebook account.

Regards,

dudemon

Hello,

I have added to the login page through a small script, here's an example.

 $(document).ready(function() {
 $('#facebooklogin').clone().insertAfter("#create-account_form .form_content");
    });

There will likely need to replace my class on yours. If it does not I can help.

This module is for free.

I also downloaded and it works with no problem with PS1.6.0.13. Only problem is the position of the login button.

Not sure if anyone find a way to modify its default position.

Finally got it where I wanted it to display in DisplayNav section

Here is the Step by Step Process for those who still has issue and want the hook to be appear in Display Nav section

1) Go to Location (themes\default-bootstrap\modules\blockcontact)

2) Take backup of the existing "Nav.tpl" file

3) Open the file in Code Editor

4) Now Go to (\modules\egrfacebook)

5) Open file "fblogin.tpl" and copy the code from start to end "Leave the commented area"

6) go back to "Nav.tpl" in code editor and add the code copied from "fblogin.tpl" between the below 2 lines

<div  class="header_user_info">

NOTE: Remove this line "Code from 'fblogin.tpl goes here'

</div>

7) Save the file and refresh the page.

8 ) and last search the "social facebook module" module in position section and unhook it to remove from the default location.

Hope this will solve issues for many people who want to use this free module.
