Payment failed but "Payment processing" mail sent

Hi,

I was testing a payment module and purposely failed the transaction to test failure scenario.

 

I got an email with Subject line: [shop] Payment failed

 

However the email contents read:

 

ORder Xxxxxxx - Payment processed

Your payment for order with the reference xxxxxxx was successfully processed.

 

the customer order history shows "Trasaction failed..retry"

 

Why is this and how can I fix?

Can you be more specific about which email you received, and which order state was used to create the order

 

Screen shots of the emails, as well as a screen shot of your order states from the back office will help

 

Also would be good to know what payment module you are using, and have you tried to contact that developer for assistance?
