Why and how to solve when customers can still order out of stock products?

I have already asked in the french forum but no one had the answer for that. So I try my chance here.

 

We have many products that customers could order even if there are no stock for them. And the setting for the products are set as no order allowed when out of stock.

 

I really need an answer for that since we waste lots of time to deal with customers for that.

Make sure both the option in each product back office (quantities tab) and global (in product preferences) are set to disallow ordering when out of stock. There might be a specific setting for those products

I've checked already. And even made some test about it increasing quantity to add to cart then reducing to 0 to order -> I could not order so that should have been fine. But still, everyday many people can order some of the out of stock product.

Hard to tell what's going on, are you using any override?

I don't really know... What kind of override? From where can I change the override?

Check if you have anything in override/classes or override/controllers (apart from empty folders or index.php)
