Help required on cide changes to redirect page when using accounts

Hi - I'm a bit confused with the logic when a customer is in the checkout process and decides to either create an account, or log into an existing account.

 

The 'My Account' page is displayed whereby I think the more logical thing to do is to display the next checkout page.

 

What I want to do is:

- If user is in checkout process, redirect to cart

- If user is logging in from any other page, continue to my account 

 

I have seen several threads regarding this but none for v1.6.0.9. I have tried adapting some of the solutions for previous version but without success.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Go to Preferences -> Customers and switch on : "Cart re-display at login"

Hi Eolia - sorry for the delay in replying. This setting is enabled.

 

I am going to close this thread and open a new thread as after further investigation I found this problem only happens on one of my sites and therefore I think there is corruption somewhere.

If anyone is interested I solved this by moving my site from 1&1 hosting to GoDaddy hosting.
