adding a new item shows a dead image

Hi all,

First of all well done for creating a nice bit of software here

secondly, when I add a new item the image wont update and all it shows is a dead link i have tried various images of different sizes
i have chmodded the /img dir to 777 but still nothing happens ?
it's only a test site on a friends webspace so its nothing special
