Custom Module - Product Mixibility Discount Based on Square Feet

We are looking to finish a prestashop e-commerce project.  We are looking primarily for a custom module that calculates price discount based on volume buying.  This is similar to the embedded features of Prestashop with the following exception.

 

Key details:

• Prestahop version: 1.6.0.9
  
• Product database, pricing and sizes already uploaded.

- The volume discount is tied to the calculation of square feet on sheets of glass..

- The total square feet is the combined value from multiple sheets of glass.

- Be able to designate select sheets of glass to qualify for this type of discount.

- These designated sheets of glass when added to cart by customer combine each of their square feet to a single total and that total is checked against the discount thresholds.

- Each sheet in our inventory has a square footage we assign and the module would need to be able to access this figure and use it in its calculations. 

- We would need to be able to designate multiple products into independent mixable groups.

- The original cost, the discounted cost, and the amount of the discount in dollars would need to be displayed in the cart and on any invoices.

Glass Example:  

 

Discount Threshold

• No discount for square footage below 40sqf:
  
• Square feet threshold for discount level 1 = 45 sqf:
  
• Square feet threshold for discount level 2 = 50 sqf:
  

Practical Examples

• Customer 1 adds to their cart 3 sheets of glass A (1x4=4sqf) + 1 sheets of glass B (1x6=6sqf) + 9 sheets of glass A (9x3=27sqf). for a total of 37 Square Feet
  
• Customer 2 adds to their cart 3 sheets of glass A (3x4=12sqf) + 1 sheets of glass B (1x6=12sqf) + 9 sheets of glass A (9x3=27sqf) for a total of 45 Square Feet
  
• Customer 3 adds to their cart 3 sheets of glass A (3x4=12sqf) + 1 sheets of glass B (2x6=12sqf) + 9 sheets of glass A (9x3=27sqf) for a total of 51 Square Feet
  
• Customer 4 adds to their cart 9 sheets of glass B (9x6=54) for a total of 54 Square Feet
  

 

Customer 1 would get no discount for their order.

Customer 2 would get a level 1 discount

Customer 3 would get a level 2 discount

Customer 3 would get a level 2 discount
