Fetch Images when product is viewed the 1st time

I think I may have seen a post a while back on this, but I am not able find it now.

When I import my products from CSV, I dont want Prestashop to fetch all the product images at that time. Instead I want it to keep the image URL information & fetch the images the first time the product is viewed. Is this possible?

My issue is that my hosting provider limits accounts to less than 50k files total, and with all the images being fetched during import, I end up with well over 100k files because of the image fetching & resizing. I have changed the code and preferences to use only 3 images per product, but I still end up over the file count limit.
