Why Is Google NOT Indexing My Product Page?

thezey

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I noticed that Google is not indexing a specific product page. As a result, the product page doesn't show up despite all the keywords meta tags, and meta description + title included. The product page is not new and it is even highlighted in Google Webmaster Search Appearance Tool.

The product page is: http://www.nizoralshop.com/en/sports-nutrition/28-berocca-performance-effervescent-tablets-orange.html

Could you please tell me the possible reasons why Google is not indexing the product page and how to fix the issue?

Thank you in advance.

The page is indexed in google. http://screencast.com/t/kirp3ORW

Thank you for the info. Having said it is indexed, why can't I find the page when I google the name of website between "

Quotation mark" and the general name of the product, which is Berocca Performance?

The page is well SEO-optimized, but doesn't appear when these keywords above mentioned are searched.

How is it possible?

HI Benjamin,

I got your comment (somehow it doesn't show up here though).

You mentioned you found issues in the page. Could you please elaborate on that so I can understand the issue?

Thank you.

John2, thanks for your reply. Are you referring to Meta title and Meta Description, as I am unsure about Tags? On the same note, it's been awhile since the page is created...

A few comments.

robots.txt? - (Old, Disallow?, sitemap.xml)

sitemap.xml? - Two maps sitemap (sitemap.xml, 1_index_sitemap.xml)

Homepage - two h1 tag

Product page - h1, h2 - spam tag.

Hi karolwild,

Thanks for your post.

- Robots.txt: I disallowed certain pages such as registration and other language pages. Is that bad?

- Sitemap: I recently added a extra site map 1_index based on Google Sitemap Module because it said I had to upload this site map in order to update it. Now which site map shall I stick with?

- Homepage: What h1 tag should I delete?

- Product page: I am unsure if I understand. Could you please explain it to me?

Thanks in advance.

What are you suggesting? I didn't choose all those as H1 and H2.

I only chose the short description list as h2 tags, as I read that we should emphasize keywords in h1 or h2.

What should i do?

Which H tags should we use for the short description list so that it's seo friendly?

I heard keywords should be included in h1 and h2 tags.  But you said I  have too many h2 tags… Please check out the link in the original post.

Don't worry too much about the keywords. Focus on the meta title and meta description. The most important keywords should be listed in the short description.

It's important to understand that Google has strayed away from the keyword SEO ranking. Instead, Google is looking for original, complete but concise descriptions in line with what people are actually searching for.

The best advice I can give you is too place yourself in your potential customers' shoes. What are they searching for (in the search bar)? Try and match that with your product descriptions, and write it in a human way. Google is all about the manual human input, the more human it sounds, the better. Just make sure you lace your SEO targets in there.

Thank you for your advice. It makes total sense. Having said that, I am still wondering whether the short description list should be in H2 or paragraph bold format. Any idea?
