Make a search for searching just products from a specific category

Hi I would like to have a search bar when I enter suppose a category to search items of that category only in order to filter them and dont have to see the whole list to search for something. What I would like to achieve is to have a search that do not search between all the products of the shop but only between the ones of that category/supplier. Thanks very much in advance for your help!

Does anybody knows how can I achieve this? Another possibilty that I would like would be to filter the products of a provider by different categories. The thing is that I dont want a customer to have such a long list when seeing a provider, so if I can put a search or better the filtering by category I would make it friendlier for the user. Thanks

The only thing built into PS that comes close is the Layered Navigation Module that lets the customer filter products within categories by the products attributes.
