Change order status automatically based on customer group

I just wonder if there's an addon or someone knows how to do these two things:

 

1. Group customers based on how many days he/she has been registered.

 

2. Once the customer has placed an order, automatically change the order status based on the group he/she is in. For example, "Order pending" for new customer, "Order processing" for customer registered within 30 days, "Order approved" for customer registered more than 30 days ago.

unfortunately i don't know any module for that.

in this case you have to develop this feature on your own

 

for these two things you can use order confirmation hook.
