Showing available inventory in select box

Hi

I'm wondering if there's any way of showing the available inventory on the select box when a product has different sizes?

 

For instance, the drop down box would look like this:

 

Size 7 UK (8 In Stock)

Size 8 UK (Out Of Stock)

Size 9 (1 In Stock)

 

ASOS does something similar to this, and I just wondered if it's possible? I'm using 1.5.6.1
