Json result in product page, and update mysql table.. possible?

Hi Guys,

 

I have for some reasons still the old prestashop 1.3.

due to a lot of modules I use it's not possible to upgrade for the moment.

 

now I want to ask something about Json.

Is it possible when opening a product detail page, that before showing all content, I do a post request to a certain page (of a supplier) then I get a json result back and from that result I need to take out the correct available stock quantity and update my prestashop mysql.

 

well,if anybody can help me out or give me a clue, I would be very happy with that.
