Specified key was too long; max key length is 767 bytes

When installing Prestashop, at last stage, after "settings.ini" file was succesfully created, error shows up on 12% - "Error on SQL query: Specified key was too long; max key length is 767 bytes".

I managed to install through console by CHANGING database engine to MyISAM.

But now problem is: I can reach admin panel, but when trying to go to main shop page it redirects me to xampp page.

 

example:

i type in: http://localhost/pshop/

it reirects to: http://localhost/xampp/

you moved you localhost to remote and now getting redirected to localhost?

back office-->preferences-->seo & urls-->scroll down and  change localhost to remote url

No, I was still in dev localhost.

Problem resolved.

Moved prestashop files

from: C:\wamp\www\prestashop\

to: C:\wamp\www\

 

Working now.
