new install all jumbled up / css layout error?

I just installed and have come up all jumbled up.  The front page is bad and the backend is worse.  I reviewed a recent complaint similiar and it suggested this......

it's because of "base uri" 

var baseUri = 'http://shop.thewatersoftenercentre.com.temporary-domain.com/index.php';

are you able to open preferences > seo & urls tab in your back office? if so, please check your base_uri field,

it should be defined as "/" not as an url to index page

the backend page also is cut off a little on left side.  See attached.  I considered it was my settings for monitor but i have changed nothing and all other pages / programs are lined up correct.

Hi, my first suggestion would be to totally re-install PrestaShop. 

 

Some files may have not transferred correctly. Did you do it through FTP?
