Where can I get more information on how it works (other than the features list)?  Is there a user manual that I can look at first (which should answer my questions)?  I'd like to know how I'd enter blog posts, if I can back-date or future-date posts, allow others access to add blogs (but block their access to other parts etc).

Hello,

Currently SimpleBlog documentation is available only for buyers, I can upload few more back-office screenshots for you.

I'd like to know how I'd enter blog posts, if I can back-date or future-date posts

Interesting idea, at the moment you can disable posts like you can do in PrestaShop CMS pages, the inactive posts are just drafts.

allow others access to add blogs (but block their access to other parts etc).

SimpleBlog module added new tab in back-office and you can set permissions for each of profile of the employees just like you can do with the others back-office tabs.

Back-dating would be important as I want to move existing blog posts from my previous website to this one.  Future-dating would let me create blog posts on a weekend when I have time, and set them to be active during the week or some weeks later when I'd be out of town, etc.  I do this with Facebook now where I can create posts at night/weekend when I have time, but set them to be active during the week.

Hello!

I can't use bulleted lists in news with this module.

I see code <ul><li> ... in redactor, but on the page with news it's not showed.

Prestashop 1.6.0.8, Warehouse 3.2

Thank you in advance.

Also I have following error in logs:

PHP Notice: Undefined variable: id_lang in /var/www/vhosts/4/116157/webspace/httpdocs/site.com/modules/ph_simpleblog/controllers/admin/AdminSimpleBlogPostsController.php on line 401

In this file I have following:

{

            $redir = $SimpleBlogPost->getObjectLink($id_lang);

            Tools::redirectAdmin($redir);

        }

I did no changes with this module, just installing and getting such error. Already reinstalled twice, no success.

Please let me know how to fix it.

Error:

simpleblog_post (Unknown column 'external_url' in 'field list')

This error for any value of Post type. Maybe I did something wrong configured? How to fix it?

Hi, Krystian Podemski :). Does your module support the "related products" feature? If it doesn't, it'll be a nice feature to relate products to a blog entry :D.

Hi, Krystian :). I was looking at the related products example entry, and noticed that there's no way to know which posts are related to the product within the product page.

Other blog module add a "related articles" tab within the product page so that users get to know which blog entries are related to that specific product :).

Can you please post a link so that I can see what the "post to product" function looks like?

Your module looks great!

Does the module have a "Search"option so that users can search all of the post for something specific?

I have attached a screenshot of my home page of my shop

http://awesomescreenshot.com/01d45mxn04

It is a custom theme from Template Monster.

Can I "place" the Blog menu under my existing list of CATEGORIES menu that is in the left column and use the same "style" so that the BLOG is white text on an Orange button?

I'll have a play over the next few days and will send you some questions on how to customise the layout etc.

Do you want me to post the questions here on via your ticket system?

I have some basic knowledge of CSS etc and have changed the theme that I am using directly by changing/adding code to the global.css files etc.....

Yes, prestahome.ticksy.com.

How to use this option? Just use CSS code in this field... for example:

#ph_simpleblog_categories .block .title_block a { color: #fff; }

Hi, do you still have a ps 1.5.3.1 compatible versión?.

I checked it at codecanyon and on software version it just says prestashop 1.6.0.x.

I want to be sure it will fully work with my ps 1.5.3.1 installation before buying it.

Thank you!

Hi Kristian, Your module is great! I got it with the warehouse theme. I have found one issue and i'd like to know if thats typical for the warehouse simpleblog or if it's a bug for all simpleblog configurations:

I work with PS 1.6.0.14  and Simpleblog version 1.3.2.10

I have a problem with the categories overview in the BO. Only the first 3 categories i have made within the module are beeing displayed. The 4th and 5th .. categories are never displayed. Even when i have deleted the first three categories, the 4th and 5th (that now became the 1st and 2nd) are not being displayed. It is also not possible to remove or change these categories..

Have you ever heard of this issue and can you please help me to solve this issue?

Thanks and keep up the great work!

Hello elmoxx,

Thank you for these kind words, unfortunately I never saw such a problem and the only way to investigate this issue by me is to contact me on support system or if you don't have license for my module you can contact Warehouse author and ask him to contact me about this issue. (only people with valid purchase code can create tickets).

Hi Kristian. I've got a question about the tags in simpleblog.  Can you tell me what they do? Right now i can add tags to articles and i can show them with the articles but further on i can not do a thing with these tags. It would be great to filter all posts based on a tag.

For example:

When my blog is about crafting-ideas, the main structure for the blog will be something like:

  1. crafting with wood
  2. crafting with plastic
  3. crafting with linnen
  4. crafting with iron    etc.

Within every main category there are 5 posts. (total 20 in this example) One of these 5 posts per category is also suitable for 'Mothersday' and therefore i give all these articles the tag: Mothersday.

Is it somehow possible to filter all articles based on that tag 'Mothersday'?

Thanks and i'm looking forward for your reaction

Hello,

I got your module as part of the Warehouse theme, and so far I love it. Just one issue I couldn't figure out, which is to embed Youtube videos - when I try to save the iframe code Youtube provides, the blog module refuses to save, the error message is "invalid content" or something like that. Is there a trick to make it work, a setting to change?

Thanks for your help!
