how to make Hot instead New

when new product added there is red stripe on image it says NEW is there module to mark it like HOT or RECOMMENDED or something else, on featured product?

but i want to have new too, after few days new will disappear and translation too. i need to have it permanently.

If you want to show products for a long time as new/hot/recommended after you changed it in translations the you need to set it in preferences /products / fill in the days that you want it to show it as new. That's all

if you want to have it there permanently, you can add it manually to tpl file.

the question is: you want to display it only for certain products? if so, you will have to use if condition:

 

{if $product.id==5 || $product.id==63}

Or you could us the "On Sale" checkbox, which is on each product, and just change the wording ?

with css styles you can create badge similar to "new"
