mohamed.belhassen
Hi, By following the translating steps, I succeeded the translation of the back office from english to french, but the front office remains unchanged: I tested the "Add / Update a language" and Import a language pack manually tool. Is there any one to assist me? Cordially,
vekia
hello as far as i know this: "Add / Update a language" and Import a language pack manually tool. is a part of back office, not front office. you said that you translated back office, so my question is: where exactly you've got this problem? maybe it's a part of some external module? please shed some light
mohamed.belhassen
Dear Sir, I post my question otherwise, Is it possibe to translate the front office automaticaly to other languages? if yes how? Cordially,
tazan
I'm also interested in front office translation packages? Does anyone know where I could find them?
mohamed.belhassen
The main thing that attracted me to use presta consists in its so called active community, But, in practice I have just 1 valid answer to 5 submitted topics.
vekia
remember that also you are a part of the community, In prestashop there is no function to "automatically" translate fields, it's almost impossible. What you can do it's a possibility to download translation package from localization > localization, You can import language pack, it mean that all DEFAULT features in PS will be translated to language you downloaded (imported) here is official documentation: http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS15/Understanding+Local+Settings#UnderstandingLocalSettings-ImportLocalizationPack
mohamed.belhassen
Thanks for the quick reply, I know that I am a member of the community But as starter in this framework, I need some guidance from experienced users. I followed the translation steps but it does not working as expected. For example the back office is partially translated to french although the mentioned translation percentage is set to 100% for french for example. When I try to edit manually the translation, I get the following error which is related to a constant value used by PHP: Warning! Your PHP configuration limits the maximum number of fields allowed in a form: 1000 for max_input_vars.Please ask your hosting provider to increase the this limit to 1438 at least or edit the translation file manually. I contacted the hosting service to increase the value of this var to a higher one but the error persists. Could you please assist me to resolve this issue. Finally, I have posted several bugs related to Newsletter, facebook modules and I didn't received any answers. That is why I feel unsatisfied by the forum community. mohamed.belhassen
Hi all, I requested my hosting company to edit the php.ini accordingly to resolve the problem, Now, the edit forms are successfully shown but when I click update translations I get an internal server error (code 500). when seeing the recorded error logs in the CPanel, I didn't found something indicating the source of the error. Is there someone whoes faced something like that?
vekia
try to turn on error reporting, maybe then you will see error code instead of simple internal server error message
