[SOLVED] How do I remove the horizontal line in footer

Hi everyone,
I am a newbie and I've searched the posts, but have yet to figure out which file to edit to remove the silver horizontal line I see in the footer. I've checked footer.tpl, global css and block modules. In firebug when I remove the id footer, the line disappears but so does everything else in the footer .

If you have seen this before I would really appreciate your help!

TO
