[FREE MODULE] Block Reinsurance with links

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I noticed some people asking for a Block Reinsurance with links on the picture/text.

Hereby one that does the job. Based on blockreinsurance of Prestashop 1.5.6.0, it is a direct replacement of blockreinsurance with just an added extra, the links.

Installation:

Step 1:

Download the attached zip file, and install this in your PrestaShop Back Office:

- Go to Modules->Modules.

- Press "Add a New Module" (at Top right),

- select the zip file on your local harddisk and

- press install

(If you experience any problem, let me know. You can also unzip it on your harddisk and upload the folder blockreinsurancelink with contents manually to your /modules directory, using FTP)

Then

- UN-install the original PrestaShop blockreinsurance module and

- install the blockreinsurancelink module. (See picture)

After installing the module, it is hooked to the footer, as we want it there of course. We only have to reposition the module all the way to the top of the footer.

- Go to Modules->Positions and

- scroll down to the "footer block".

- Move our module all the way from the bottom to the top by clicking on the arrow up. (See picture)

After we positioned the module correctly, we can modify the links as desired:

- Go to Modules->Modules and scroll down to our module.

- Press Configure

- You will see a similar screen as the original PrestaShop reinsurance, only I added a field to edit the link. (See picture)

- Press Save

We're done! Go to your frontpage and reload (Ctrl-F5 (Windows)/Command-R (Mac)) and hover over the reinsurance pictures to see your links. Clicking on them will open the linked page.

Hope you like it. If you encounter any problem, or have additional wishes, please let me know.

If you download it, please write some comment! Thanks!

Hi!

it works as a charm!

The only think, that the text next to pictures becomes white and not the same as in original module.

Is there a way to change to original look?

Thank you in advance!

papich,

Here a sample:
post-455771-0-92540900-1382641170_thumb.jpg

It's the same reinsurance block as the default PrestaShop theme has, but adds some link to it.
(Some people noticed that the color of the text was not the same as in the default blockreinsurance module. See post above this one how to fix that.)

I don't believe the PrestaShop blockreinsurance module is responsive, so this one, based on the default one, then isn't either, but check it out. It's free...

Let us know!

Thanks a lot man!!

If You guys want to make it sliding horizontally just like : http://smoothdivscroll.com/clickableLogoParade.html
here's my fast way:

Download package http://smoothdivscroll.com/download.html

1. JS
Copy (from downloaded zip):
jquery-ui-1.10.3.custom.min.js
jquery.mousewheel.min.js
jquery.kinetic.min.js
jquery.smoothdivscroll-1.3-min.js
to /modules/blockreinsurancelink

2. TPL
Change /modules/blockreinsurancelink/blockreinsurancelink.tpl
to:

{if $infos|@count > 0}
<div id="reinsurancelink_block" class="clearfix">
    <div id="logoParade">
        {foreach from=$infos item=info}
            {if !empty($info.link)}<a href="http://{$info.link}">{/if}<img src="{$module_dir}img/{$info.file_name}" alt="{$info.text|escape:html:'UTF-8'}" /> <span>{$info.text|escape:html:'UTF-8'}</span>{if !empty($info.link)}</a>{/if}
        {/foreach}
    </div>
</div>
{/if}

<script src="{$module_dir}jquery-ui-1.10.3.custom.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="{$module_dir}jquery.mousewheel.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="{$module_dir}jquery.kinetic.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="{$module_dir}jquery.smoothdivscroll-1.3-min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

<script type="text/javascript">
        $(document).ready(function () {
            $("#logoParade").smoothDivScroll({
                autoScrollingMode: "always",
                autoScrollingDirection: "endlessLoopRight",
                autoScrollingStep: 1,
                autoScrollingInterval: 25
            });
            $("#logoParade").bind("mouseover", function () {
                $(this).smoothDivScroll("stopAutoScrolling");
            }).bind("mouseout", function () {
                $(this).smoothDivScroll("startAutoScrolling");
            });
        });
</script>

3. CSS
Put content of smoothDivScroll.css (from downloaded zip) to /modules/blockreinsurancelink/style.css
and after that add:

#logoParade
{
    clear:both;
    position: relative;
    width: 960px;
    margin-left: 10px;
}
#logoParade div.scrollableArea a
    {
    display: block;
    float: left;
    padding-left: 10px;
}
#logoParade div.scrollableArea a:hover{
    opacity:0.7;
}

Hope it save some time for You

Hello,

It is currently possible to add a translation for the text, but the translation is not possible for the links.

And on an English version, it may refer to an English page of the site but a foreign version of return on the same link.

Is it possible to integrate a code somewhere?

Thank you in advance

Hello Vekia…the site is back (sorry I wanted to move to PS 1.6 but didn't go well so went back to older version…perhaps I would put another topic on it, would be very nice to have a tutorial of the different steps when there's customization or at least some 'key advices'…what to do with not 'native' modules, what to do with the 'theme' , ecc as to be honest it's not so straightforward for a beginner…in my case was not too bad but when I re-generated thumbnails all became a mess. It's a pity I would love to keep on following the newer versions but to as it stands…never again).

Anyhow, concerning the question of this topic if anyone can have a look would be great as indeed it's a pretty nice features this possibility of adding links.

Thx for your help!

Marco

This module is almost perfect, but I have a little problem.

This module can not be moved above the footer.

don't use live edit.

go to modules > positions and change it's position on displayFooter modules list. just drag n drop it.

I already set the display module in the footer but it doesn't work.

I am unable to put also the block reinsurance (already integrated into prestashop).

and you changed module position? moved it to the top of the displayFooter modules list?

My god i'm so stupid. I just understood what you meant by "move it the dispay". I didn't know that it was possible to change the position of the modules in the footer.

Thank you for your answer (and patience)!

(I'm french, it is a good excuse?Ahaha)

at the moment your reinsurance block looks like

o8T4ibL.png

it's not module provided by pascalIVG, right?

Correct, it's the original one. The background color is changed. I think it ties it from the Deco Evo theme I installed as there's a module called 'style changer' made by these developers where you can choose the character.

When I load the module provided by pascalIVG, it works well but the format it's not ok with the theme. In other words it stays in the dark grey of the default theme and it's also not centered (goes little to the left).

Hui how can i change background color? I would turn grey into a different one.

Thanks for the great module!

Hello, I think that you can change the background color in the "style css" (prestashop\modules\blockreinsurancelink\style)

#reinsurancelink_block {background:#eee}

Is that what you wanted?
