Customer Passwords Migration from VirtueMart

Hi,

I searched all over the Internet and haven't found an answer.

I want to transfer the customer's accounts from a virtuemart site to a new prestashop installation.

Please don't point me to the cart 2 cart solution, as I can do this my self.

 

My question is:

is it possible to transfer the passwords from one site to an other? I mean, I know that they use different encrypting and hash methods, but I would like to know if there was a way to unite these two... (long shot probably, but hope didn't hurt anyone!!! )

PS: Also I know about the password recovery method and it is second in favor...
