Recommended Posts

Hi all

Please look at det follwing url:

http;//www,eldatech.no/shop/

-...and the image slider.

The with of the images is 200 px and I have set the parameter in the slider to hight 300px and with 200 px. But its showing only one image at the time. I wanted it to slide in images to fill the image window but I am not sure this is possible with this slider ???

by default it isn't possible to show more than 1 item in this slider,

only after modificatiaons. in this case you have to edit js of this module

this addon is based on bxslider, more infor here: http://bxslider.com/examples/carousel-dynamic-number-slides

Thank you.

Do you know what file to edit ?

I guees its under folder /modules/homeslider/js ?

There are two files there an none of them contains that code.

Should I just add the code you linked to ?

I added the code to homeslider.js but it did not seem to have any effect :

    $('#homeslider').bxSlider({

                minSlides: 3,

                maxSlides: 4,

                slideWidth: 170,

                slideMargin: 10

                infiniteLoop: homeslider_loop,

        hideControlOnEnd: true,

        pager: true,

        autoHover: true,

        auto: homeslider_loop,

        speed: homeslider_speed,

        pause: homeslider_pause,

        controls: false

    });

});

upload also latest bxslider library to /js/ directory http://bxslider.com/lib/jquery.bxslider.zip

+ use this bxslider setup:

$(function(){

	if (typeof(homeslider_speed) == 'undefined')
		homeslider_speed = 500;
	if (typeof(homeslider_pause) == 'undefined')
		homeslider_pause = 3000;
	if (typeof(homeslider_loop) == 'undefined')
		homeslider_loop = true;

	$('#homeslider').bxSlider({
      minSlides: 3,
                maxSlides: 4,
                slideWidth: 170,
                slideMargin: 10,
        auto: homeslider_loop,
        speed: homeslider_speed,
        pause: homeslider_pause,
        controls: true
	});
});

Hmm...its still not working for me.

I uploaded the files you sent a link to and I uploaded to js folder.

Then put in the code you listed in the homeslider.js

Still only one image at the time.

Do I need to configure something else ?

Maybe I'm looking at wrong file.

This is the path:  /modules/homeslider/js/homeslider.js

i think that we got it! :)

your theme uses this file: http://eldatech.no/shop/themes/Nibuo/js/modules/homeslider/js/homeslider.js

Aha....I need to look under the theme :-)

I did not know this.

I have been working with OScommerce earlier so I am not familiar with the structure of Prestashop :)

Thank you....I will make the correct ghanges now :-)

should I then also upload the js library somewhere ?

In the folder I have under the theme I only find homeslider.js and not the other js files which I found in the first folder i looked at.

if you are talking about bxslider library - overwrite existing file in /modules/homeslider/js/ directory

Yes I have done that.

I did that earlier.

And now I have modified the homeslider.js with the code below. That is the only code in that file now. I took a backup of the original one.  And the path is:

/shop/theme/Nibuo/js/modules/homeslider/js

$(function(){

    if (typeof(homeslider_speed) == 'undefined')

        homeslider_speed = 500;

    if (typeof(homeslider_pause) == 'undefined')

        homeslider_pause = 3000;

    if (typeof(homeslider_loop) == 'undefined')

        homeslider_loop = true;

    $('#homeslider').bxSlider({

      minSlides: 3,

                maxSlides: 4,

                slideWidth: 170,

                slideMargin: 10,

        auto: homeslider_loop,

        speed: homeslider_speed,

        pause: homeslider_pause,

        controls: true

    });

});

Still I cannot see its working :-(

it looks like some js script changing width of <li> items automatically, by default this slider doesn't work like that :|
