Assigning images to all variations

Hi all,

 

we have several products which has more than 2000 variations / combinations (different colors, sizes, adaptations etc) within them. It is nearly impossible to sit and manually assign a specific image to each variation, or it would take way too long! As it is now, each variation just takes the first image as default. But is there a way that each variation could take all images? Or a way to say that e.g. all green variations take the green image and so on?

 

Please, does anyone know a way around all this?
