What is the status of translation interface?

Hello, I'd like to know what's the current state of the translation system, we have to update the translations and post them in the forums or is the translation interface ready?

Anyone? I'd like to know if there is some common place to manage the translations, the sticker at the top of this forum says it's not ready.

But here (http://www.prestashop.com/en/translations) on the main page, you can pick translations for most of the language.

Still the form to join the translation team doesn't work (it says something about unidentified error) and sending the details by mail to [email protected] doesn't seem to make any difference.

There are some initiatives, for example this (http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/231204-speed-up-the-translation-of-prestashop/) that would make the translation easier but I'm reluctant to spent effort on stuff that might be not accepted.
