You installed prestashop from official library ( http://prestashop.com/en/download ) or maybe you use some aut-installator from your webhosting ? I think due some file missing on installation it show this error. And than we again install prestashop again and delete that and that solve our solution. It also work front office but back office show this error. So i am suggested you to try to install a fresh copy again in different folder , if all work than delete old one and move site.
