Developing a new payment gateway

I don't know if I'm posting on the write forum, but I have a question/request.

 

I have my own payment gateway and I would like to have it integrated to PrestaShop.

 

That are the possibilities of integrating it to PrestaShop?

Actually I'm sorry to have forgot to state that I actually own that payment gateway, and I have the API documentation for it. but I'm not that good developer, I know some codes and the logic, but to develop from scratch is hard for me.

 

And ideas or directions/help would be highly appreciated.
