Sitemap Module and Multistore Configuration

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody I have this situation with my prestashop 1.5.3.1 and Google Sitemap module version 2.1

The store is setted as Multistore.

So i have under the store configuration a group of stores.

Actually I have juts one store under a group of stores and this store has just one language

the domain route of thes store is

www.mydomain.com

When I generate a sitemap file with the sitemap module i got this result on the module page

Please set up the following Sitemap URL in your Google Webmaster account:

http://www.mydomain.com/index_sitemap.xml

This URL is the master Sitemap and refers to:

  • en_0_sitemap.xml

So I go to my google webmaster account and suggest this link to my sitemap:

http://www.mydomain.com/index_sitemap.xml

and test it.

The test is ok, the sitemap under the test seems to be working. The result instead is that google can read it but cannot follow it to

  • en_0_sitemap.xml where all the urls are contained

So If i suggest to google the sitemap

  • en_0_sitemap.xml

The result if that the sitemap is read by google but the sitemap finds this urls

www.mydomain.com/en/categoryname/80-product-name.html

instead of the correct that is

www.mydomain.com/categoryname/80-product-name.html

and so the result is that google think that all the links are broken or that the pages has an error.

Has anybody the same issue?

i have exactly the same issue! but my store isn't set up as multistore... my shop is in a subdirectory (www.mydomain.com/shop) and uses the .htaccess file to mask this. This used to work just fine, but now the sitemap uses the "/shop" links ...

seems the sitemap module has gone from bad to worse even though it was a big update that allowed you to not include certain urls (yey).

Now multistore simply doesn't work with the sitemap module, it creates a master sitemap and another sitemap which both get overwritten when you change store, not only that my 2nd store includes url's from the 1st store...

Anybody got any ideas or know if there's a sitemap module update coming (god I hope so..)

if i type my in google site:mydomainname.com i do see some pages ..

but i have no traffic for some TDLs and that is not normal at all

How did u make it work???.. again.. using several TDLS, if i generate a sitemap..i see on my server sitemaps appear.; but the link given by the module.. always starts with the main tdl.; eg

I make sitemap for dieteileshop.at

and then i get

Your Sitemaps were successfully created. Please do not forget to setup the url http://deonderdelenshop.nl/17_index_sitemap.xml in your Google Webmaster account.

google does not accept http://deonderdelenshop.nl/ for http://dieteileshop.at

and i see the sitemaps for all languages on my server.. but no 17_index_sitemap.xml

Hi deonderd.. Did you manage to find a solution? After a month of work preparing my multishop I m stack at submitting sitemaps at google webmasters tools. How did you deal with both website verification and sitemaps?

Plz share if you resolved these problems..

(I have one shop group and 3 shops - the one is the main shop (.com) and the other are local tld's)

yes i found a solution.. i bought a module called "Multilingual and multistore sitemap generator"

deveopled by lineagrafica.es

This works perfect.. first i had a problem .. but i mailed the developer .; and they solved it for me

it's a shame i needed to do it this way.. and that prestashop does not offer it directly... but the module works !!

Also a good module to speed up your site is java manager pro from etiendas.co
