multi shop with seperate stock and payments, how to

Hi Guys,

 

I'd like to run Prestashop with two stores, each with their own staff, stock, shipping, currency and payment facility. Really, it's two seperate shops under one site.

 

Is it possible to do this effectively.

 

If is is, how does orders that cross both shops work, is it possible to seperate them automatically for proceessing and logistics?

 

The alternative is to set up two seperate installs.

 

Has anyone tried this before?

When you create a 2nd shop, you can choose what to share across shops or define them to have their own 'everything'.

I don't to have anything shared between the two shops, I want them to be completely separate. The only exception would be if a customer wanted to buy from both shops, how would that be managed?

That's what I thought, I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that though.
