Sizing Prestashop server

Recommended Posts

You cannot size servers based on the information you have provided. We do not know the version of Prestashop, what customizations you may have made, what theme or third party modules you may be using. Are you going to use unix or windows, shared or dedicated, CDN, caching, os versions etc... all play a factor.

Typically, you would create your store on a development server, apply all of your customizations and unit test it to certify that the functionality is working properly. Then you would attempt to load test that, and extrapolate based on its performance the size of the environment you would require.

There are also options, do you want to use a service that would allow for automatic growth in resource availability based on demand? Or do you want a static environment that would account for a projected growth over a 6, 12, 18 month period, in which case you would have to refactor and possibly resize when that period is complete.
