Shop Login Errors (Customer And Admin)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm trying to access my client's shop to troubleshoot, but i'm getting some errors.

When I try with this URL... https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/~dynami00/shop/admincp/login.php?redirect=index.php ... (where the xxx is the server IP address... I get this error:

There is 1 error. Employee does not exist or password is incorrect.

When I try to log in using this url... www.dynamictelecom.com/shop/admincp/login.php ... I get the following error:

SSL is activated. Please connect using the following url to log in in secure mode (https).

So, then, when I try the suggested https url... https://www.dynamictelecom.com/shop/admincp/login.php ... it gives me a 404 message.

Also worth mentioning is that the customer login/account areas do not function either.

For example... https://www.dynamictelecom.com/shop/my-account ... gives me a 404 error.

Thanks,

Russ

Hi Russ,

Perhaps I can help you with your first proble. I had the same issue last week with access to my BO. I cleared all my browser history and tried it in Firefox and then I could enter the BO again. Maybe this helps for you as well.

I´m afraid I can´t help you with the other problems. Good luck!

HI Tahnee,

I'm not sure what a BO is. I tried all these login links with multiple browsers and no luck.

There was an issue on the site with a virus or malware or such, so, when the site was restored, I'm wondering if something was not restored properly... anyone know why I can view the store items, but logins (admin/customer) don't work?

The Prestashop 404 message says:

If you are the webmaster of this site make sure that:

  • You have uploaded correctly your files to the public_html directory which is the web-root of your account;
  • You have not misspelled the URL. Bear in mind that letters are case sensitive and no white spaces are recommended;
  • In case you have applied SEO - SEF URL rewriting rules, make sure you have re-named the htaccess.txt file to .htaccess. If there is already a non-empty .htaccess file read it and make sure the necessary rules are un-commented.

Oh I´m sorry BO means Back-Office so your administrator page. If the above doesn't work I think it could indeed be a missing file in your public_html folder. You could try to take a look at you error_log, it's in your public_html folder. But before you try anything radical try deleting your browser history in your browser, maybe that's enough.
