Ps 1.5.3.1 - Copy Of The Compressed Css

Recommended Posts

Salve to all of you,

I keep reading about an optimization that could be applied to presta, it is described here:

http://www.prestashop.com/en/top-tips

@ point number 3, copy of the compressed CSS.

1 - Is there any post that would describe exactly how this could be made?

2- Does this optimization aply to a website that has new products each day? or do I have to re-upload the compressed files everytime?

Huge thanks for your clarification.

A compressed CSS file is created automatically. There is no need to make and upload it to a server.

This option applies to any website.

To enable compressed CSS you should go to Back Office->Advanced Parameters->Performance tab and switch on Use CCC for CSS.

doubleD,

thank you for your reply, I am aware of it, but the optimizations speaks about uploading these archived files to some other servers/domains and having the traffic/load on the main server decreased.

Do you think you could forward me to a place where this is described in detail?

Huge thanks

I understood the advice in there of creating another subdomain and pointing it to my www, but this will actually not do what I was expecting, to load the files from a totally different hardware in a totally different geografical area.

Any other suggestions, different than the one from doubleD -> rocky ?

Thank you in advance
