Alex Simonchik BelVG
Just create new type here: BO->Preferences->Images (for example: "my_custom_image_type"). After that you will be able to use images with this type in your tpl files: <img src="{$link->getImageLink($product.link_rewrite, $product.id_image, 'my_custom_image_type')}" ... Alex Simonchik BelVG
It isn't the simple way. I guess you add new type image in BO (http://clip2net.com/clip/m145833/1360218746-clip-36kb.jpg), and choose that this type will be used for Product images. After that you can use the code above.
