Shipping set-up issues

Hello everyone,

 

I am using 1.4.9 prestashop and I use the USPS and Fedex modules that came with the software. My issue is I have quest checkout enabled but lets say a customer ads a product to the shopping cart and the shipping it shows is actually a lot higher than what the actual cost is but the customer will not be able to see this until they get to the shipping section of the checkout.

 

Let's say it's a small item weighing 1lb. if they ad it to cart it says shipping is 8.88 but when they get to shipping in the checkout section it's $5.60

 

I have priority mail, parcel post for USPS

 

Fedex I am using ground up to 150lbs and then frieght over 150lbs.

 

Can anyone please tell me why this is happening.

 

I have tried changing default to either usps priority mail which is the lowest shipping method to using fedex ground and both ways this happens.

 

Any help would be appreciated very much
