Country:name becomes Country?

Hello All,

 

I'm using prestashop 1.5.2 and the country select list does not show in the registration forms which causes an error after submitting.

After reading some threads on the forum I figured out the Countries address format setting cloud be the cause but it seems when I enter Country:name it becomes Country? in the database.

All countries in the database have the Country? string instead of Country:name by default.

Only modifying this in the database directly makes things work.

 

Any suggestions?

Something about encoding perhaps?

It is the same after a clean install of 1.5.3, in the backoffice as well as on the front end.
