[Solved] Changed Server - Cant login!!!

Recommended Posts

I just recently changed web servers and moved the store along with it. The store works fine and even is taking orders, but I CANT LOGIN TO ADMIN!!!!

I went into the database and found that the admin password is md5 encoded and from looking around at the files is a combination of my COOKIE_KEY and PWD.

I tried creating a new admin. Recover lost pass says its sending me mail, but it never sends. What can i do to reset-recover-re-add an admin account to my store PLEASE HELP!

How did you regenerate your MD5 hash ?

* Copy your cookie key from /config/settings.inc.php, for example :
zhNXco9AkmOMkXSA1UJvRLT0oy1K0bImRwhAjXHdIVexfO18ZyFzwsLL
* Go to http://www.md5.fr/
* In the field, paste the cookie key and type IMMEDIATELY after, without space, your password, for example :
zhNXco9AkmOMkXSA1UJvRLT0oy1K0bImRwhAjXHdIVexfO18ZyFzwsLLadminshop
* Generate the MD5 hash.
* Copy it.
* Paste it in the passwd field of the ps_employee table, for your admin user.

I dont know where to get my cookie key?

I hope that its not generated from a cookie stored on my computer, as i clear them after every browser useage.

Is it stored somewhere in the database? or in a config file?

OK

pasted the hash into the database for my employee record, and still cannot login

----PROBLEM SOLVED----
I changed the value of cookie key in settings.inc.php to nothing.
Then encoded just my password at http://www.md5.fr/
Then i took the hash code and inserted it into the employee record in the database
i was then able to login using my email and password
