[Free Module] Product Reviews - Dramatically increase your reviews

You can test you website indexed urls by typing this in a google search :  site:www.yoursitename.com

 

That way you can see if you have any snippets in the results ;)

 

Hi all,

 

site:www.yoursitename.com is likely not a good snippet test, since this does not show snippet even when they are working.

 

The better way to test snippet functionality is to choose one of your product pages with customer reviews and google it. Then snippet should show. Example google www.yoursitename.com/catagory1/product1.html

 

Beware:

  • It need to be product page, not catagory page since google does not show snippets for categories.
  • It is best to test on the product page with most reviews since roamer have it that it need to be a few reviews before google show interest (however, own experience contradict this since we have several pages with only one review showing)

 

Finally our snippets are still working! (could be delay in re-indexing, but lets hope)

Hey MacMaster,

 

No difference. 

 

Everyone who had Rich Snippets enabled and working before continues to have it. However, we had to remove it from the product for the time being because we don't officially support it yet and this was causing alot of issues on our end.

 

There was a brief period where some people who had working Rich Snippets reported that they weren't working, so I worked with the R&D team to come up with a solution; we would develop a way to enable it as a feature on specific accounts. It was my creative way of being able to keep Rich Snippets off the product while still fulfilling our promise to keep it working for the people who had it. 

 

Now, it appears to be working fine for everyone. (You can see if you check out Kevin Nash's store on Google)

 

Hope this clarifies, if you have anymore questions please don't hesitate to ask!

Thanks for your interest in Yotpo!

 

To answer your questions:

 

1) You can have 3 stores linked to the same account with a Premium plan.

 

2) You can choose to disable the automatic mail feature (but we don't recommend it).

As a Premium user you can also blacklist certain customers you do not want to send mail to. 

You can also select specific users to which you can send review requests, but these are only for site reviews. 

In the future, you will be able to select the order status that you want to trigger the automatic mail.

You cannot, however, send Mail After Purchases manually. 

 

3) We can import reviews from any system. We will do up to 100 for free--for more than that, we ask that you sign up for a Premium account.

No,can't see an option for that, just for the minisite settings (SEO Tricks)

 

Oh, and the review tab does not show in Firefox browser - are there any know issues with Firecfox?

If reviewer have veryfication profile we see in opinion english badge:

I spoke to support and currently, there is no way for our Free users to do what you asked--but like I said before, I have forwarded this idea to the Product team.

From a business point of view a soon as I see that you have to "contact" a company to get a price for premium, I simply don't bother as I assume it is going to be very high

 

I understand that it can be difficult to offer a price as every customers needs may be different, but if I were you I would get some sample prices up on your site. 

 

Just my opinion

I totally get what you're saying about having to contact a company for pricing, and thank you for the feedback.

 

The only reason we haven't released the pricing for our Premium plans is because we are rolling them out slowly. When they are officially available, pricing will be up on our website.

I see after the update that I already have several ticked status must I leave that way or can I just choose " shipped " status for example ?

Oh, I just saw a bug with last version 1.3.7,  I used 1.3.5 before.

 

The tab display is not correct in 1.3.7, please take a look :

I use Yotpo dear El Patron, the bugged tab is Yotpo one ;)

 

Another very important subject, my rich snippets disapperead totally of Google search and the option isn't back on my Yotpo dashboard.

Working on the tab issue.

 

As far as Rich Snippets--we haven't changed anything on our end, so it must be a change with Google.

In any event, within about 2 weeks, we should have Rich Snippets fixed and ready for Presta. I will keep everyone posted here.

Yes--even if you have several statuses ticked, we'll only send the MAP once.

Is it just our site that have validation problems at with yotpo, or is this a general problem?

 

First validation error with validator.w3.org is:

 

  1. error.png Line 65, Column 49: required attribute "type" not specified
    <script src="https://www.yotpo.com/js/yQuery.js"></script>

    The attribute given above is required for an element that you've used, but you have omitted it. For instance, in most HTML and XHTML document types the "type" attribute is required on the "script" element and the "alt" attribute is required for the "img" element.

    Typical values for type are type="text/css" for <style> and type="text/javascript" for <script>.

Hi need to get this correct.

 

We have orders that are entered directly onto our website, and other orders which are imported from Amazon. I only want to send review requests to those customers who ordered directly.

 

So if we use this setting

To me that means ONLY SEND REVIEW REQUEST FOR ORDERS WITH THE STATUS SHIPPED

 

Is that correct?

 

I have another shipped status "Amazon Shipped" for the Amazon orders

 

Problem is, it is not working, no emails are being sent and if my logic is correct then I have another problem.

 

We change the order status not in prestashop back office, but via Store Manager

 

So I am wondering if it is the physical act of changing the status on the back office that triggers the email

Where I found update changelog? I use 1.35 and thinking about upgrade to 1.4. I have problems with Google schema (reviews) I don;t see it in Google search result. Yotpo team, do you repair it in 1.4?

You will be able to change the date format in our new widget (currently in Beta testing) which will be available soon. You cannot, however, change it in the current widget.

Why you not use .tpl file for hooks!?

Prestashop use MVC so you as certified partner should follow this pattern. Currently I'm not able to change view of module without changing controller.

Why you not use .tpl file for hooks!?

Prestashop use MVC so you as certified partner should follow this pattern. Currently I'm not able to change view of module without changing controller.

I use this module for quite some time, but I just noticed that since my visit in 1.6, is the cata level performance of my site with yotpo activate. 

 

Some figures explained 

 

Module on: 

 

122 sql queries 

5 redirects (redirects to have full say the same url on the cloud). 

and + / - 800 to 900 kB Homepage 

 

Off module 

 

49 sql queries 

2 Redirects 

+ / - 724 Ko homepage. 

 

I use as analytical tools (link pointing directly to the results without the module): 

 





 

Module configuration: 

 

I mainly use the review tab (on the left side) and the badge, and product pages, I enabled the option to insert code that I do not put, in order to "disable" option on the product pages. 

 

What to do to have only the tab and review the badge, with good performance?

Hey ps3z,

 

If a shopper makes an order with multiple products, we will send them maximum 3 Mail After Purchases over the course of more than 3 weeks. The same shopper will not get more than one Mail After Purchase for the same product. We are very, very careful not to spam shoppers with lots of emails, and we take this very seriously.

IMHO we should have an option in the dashboard to choose the mail after purchase numbers.

 

I also have customers who are unhappy to receive multiples emails, sometimes several emails are for the same product on the same order. The customer already gave his opinion on the product so he isn't happy to receive the request again.

 

Nearly all my orders have more than 3 products so my customers receive 3 emails each time, that's too much in my case.

I did some tests like Johan and same results :

 

The Reviews Tab really slow the page load time because of many extrenal requests I suppose.

=> Reviews tab disabled ( 87 requests, total load time 2,65 seconds )

 

=> Reviews tab enabled ( 142 requests, total load time 4,23 seconds )

 

I don't want to disable that nice tab but we must find a way to have less requests and les page slow because of that tab, nearly 1,6

seconds more to load because of the tab is really long :(

 

I will contact Yotpo awesome support about that ;)

Rich Snippets are not enabled as a feature yet. But if they work (if you read up on the thread, they work for certain users like the awesome KevinNash) they will work regardless of whether you have the feature enabled or not.

 

When it's enabled, I will update everyone here--so stay tuned!

I want to know if it happens only to me or if it is a common problem. 

How can I solve it?

Any plans to fix it? I've reported it long time ago. I can even do it for you for free if you put new version online soon.

 

Why it is so important? Becouse I'm a theme developer and we using tabs on product page instead of defualt ps 1.6 view.

The Yotpo support team can import reviews for you via CSV upload. Open a support ticket. From memory they will do 100 reviews for free in the free account

Hi, this error is related to Prestashop cache.

 

I suggest you :

 

=> To try with Prestashop cache disabled to see if that works

 

=> empty smarty cache

 

=> Enable cache again and see if that is OK

 

=> Eventually uninstall and reinstall Yotpo last module version

What's happening when you disable Prestashop cache ?

 

You can't have the same error with the cache disabled because in that case smarty cache is not in use.

 

The error you show us is smarty cache related.

yes when i disable cache there is no error, but page works correctly with cache turned on too, it just write it in error log file.

yes i use 1.4, there are no error when i disable cache.
