Hallo iedereen,

Hi scorpionsworld,

Actually most of the biggest share hosting companies supports the minimal requirements, companies that don’t cost more than $3 a month, we have tested the module in the most common and biggest shared hosting companies without any single issue and working out of the box.

It is true than in Europe most shared companies are not as big as the American ones and they tend to restrict many of functionalities that you can get, they cap most of the services so you upgrade your contract, our solution will never work on small companies as they will restrict everything not even recommended for PS, maybe you will be able to install it but with many problems.

In any case, a shared hosting is only recommended for users without too many products and not that many visits, for someone that will have tons of visits the most recommended to have their own server (VPS, Private or Cloud), the more visits you’ll have the more power you need.

Regards,

WASATO

I totally agree on the fact that a highly visited website needs the best on server resources.

But the fact of the matter is that (and i speak in general) quite a lot of Dutch webshops are or begin small and start of on a shared hosting environements to reduce cost. And that's where the bottleneck is; no shared hosting environements exist in the Netherlands that offer e.g. 512Mb memory use on PHP or the library requirements.

Therefore i suggested VPS hosting.

Hi scorpionsworld,

Well you are not forced to use a Dutch hosting to start with, now with everything on the cloud you can get a $3.- a month on most American shared hosting companies and the users won’t find any differences on the latency, they will load as they were at home and in some cases even faster.

In any, we advise US shared hostings to start with, and if you need a (VPS, Cloud or dedicated) European companies have the best deals, these services are more expensive in the US and with limited traffic, in Europe you can find a good VPS starting at €7.99 just google it and you’ll find plenty of offers.
