Hello Nemo1 and thanks for the module!

I installed it in my shop and unfortunately it didn't seem to work (no snow appeared), so I resorted to other alternative module for now. But if I understand correctly, your module may be configurable (e.g. colour of snowflakes)? That's why I would like to give it another try.

Could you help me debug the problem? My PS version is 1.5.3.1. Thanks!

You can see the site in my signature.

The only js error I get is this one:

post-420007-0-96803900-1386326799_thumb.png

Contents of pssnowfall.js:

$(document).ready(function() {
    $(document).snowfall({
        flakeCount : 100
        flakeIndex: 999999
        minSize : 1
        maxSize : 3
        minSpeed : 2
        maxSpeed : 3
    });
});

Wait a minute, isn't this a JSON array inside the snowfall function? Shouldn't the name/value pairs be separated with a comma, like this?

$(document).ready(function() {
    $(document).snowfall({
        flakeCount : 100,
        flakeIndex: 999999,
        minSize : 1,
        maxSize : 3,
        minSpeed : 2,
        maxSpeed : 3
    });
});

Those are the plugin's options, but I can't see where a closing bracket is missing... and the module works for me on chrome

I added the commas and now it works!

It seems that the options which give the most beautiful results (round snowflakes with shadows) are also the ones that hog down the CPU too much. I tried this configuration:

$(document).ready(function() {
    $(document).snowfall({
        flakeCount : 100,
        flakeColor : '#F0F8FF',
        shadow : true,
        round : true,
        flakeIndex : 999999,
        minSize : 2,
        maxSize : 6,
        minSpeed : 2,
        maxSpeed : 4
    });
});

But you can't have many snowflakes without a noticeable slowdown in rendering, especially in the Home page where the homeslider module is also using an animation (sliding).

Nemo, can you quickly fix this please? We shouldn't need to ask twice or edit your message ourselves. I'm sure it was just an oversight ;)

And of course, thanks for the free module!!

I'll move it to the paid modules then

just a side harsh note: we shouldn't need to ask twice to the addons contact, as contributors :)

ps: of course it was an oversight, the message is 1-year old :D

When you're having trouble reaching the addons team, ask Ben or me, anytime :)

I'll move it back to "Free modules", the problem wasn't the sub-forum, but the link and you fixed it!
