where do you add the product language translations?

I see that test data translates but when I add a new product I am only getting the English languages - and cannot see in the product admin tab where to add Spanish text etc.

in any case you need to enable that language in your back office, Spanish.

 

Once the language is enabled then your should see the Spanish flag in your product edit panels.

I am using the latest version 1.5.2 and that's the problem I don't see the Spanish flag in the product edit panels..

.I have enabled Spanish - I am seeing all the ipod shuffle etc product descriptions in Spanish in hte front end but in the admin back end I cannot see where to add Spanish translations in my new products.....

Click the flat that is there...this should show you the other languages you can switch to. pre 1.5 one would see all the flags, now we must click the shop default language flag to get the other language flags.

thankyou that solved it - it isn't really clear that you have to press the flag to change languages - but now I know Many Thanks!

Note: in 1.4 the language flags were presented automatically, not in 1.5
