Multistore and subdomains

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Can anyone advice how can point subdomains properly in 1.5.

When I define a subdomain as main url for a shop, the url in question won't resolve to shop in browser. Whether I have that subdomain created in cpanel or not makes no difference., How do I get multishop with each shop on a subdomains to work?

Thx.

Hello Dimaer/Nikketrikke,

Can either of you post some test URLs demonstrating the issue? I've seen it working in several installations, so I'm curious to see why is not working on your end. We just need to be able to see URL(s), where it's not working, please.

Hello Nikketrikke,

I think there is some confusion here. The question I saw in the first post indicates that they are not able to get their second shop when designating the subdomain as the main domain. For example, someone might have a test sites setup like this:

http://prestashop152-test.com/

http://prestashpo152-test.com/testshop3

The main URL for Test Shop 3 shows a subdomain - which works for me when I setup a test server here.

When I look at the Tuscanleathershop.com/en and tuscanleathershop.com/it, I see that they both work with no issues. Can you explain or provide the problem that you're having in relation to the Multistore option? We just need a little more information and we would be happy to help.

excuse me for delay in aswer but i don't be advised by email of the new posts so tuscanleatjershop.com goes right no problem and also .it (is a redirect to .com) the problem is i want to create a 2nd shop on www.tusca....shop.com/shop2 but it will be access from another subdomain (shop) of domain (italianleathe.com) e.g www.shop.italianleather.com ----> point to --> www.tuscan...shop/shop2 and the customer can only see italianshop.com not the real address www.tuscan...shop/shop2

i don't know if i must work on dns i use DIRECTADMIN

the shop2 roks but i CANNOT redirect the new domain or subdomain to that shop
