Its a bug on some servers, the solution is:

you just have to replace code on line 391 and 392 in minicslider.php

   $path = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].$this->_path.'/uploads/';

   $pathThumb = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].$this->_path.'/uploads/thumbs/';

by this

   $path = _PS_MODULE_DIR_.'minicslider/uploads/';

   $pathThumb = _PS_MODULE_DIR_.'minicslider/uploads/thumbs/';

PS 1541 and latest Minic module. Since some time I got a tiny issue with the image referrerers/links.

When mouse clicking an image no redirecting is taking place though the URLs are set up in the module's

settings.

Can you explain me why this is the case or can be the case?

thank you

Hi,

Very interesting. I cant find whats wrong, but can be fixed with some CSS modifications. Its to much to write here, the point is that your <a> element has no height and collapses (the theme maker you used could be a problem, no one else reported such a problem yet).

Seems like im not the first with what problem, but i cant find any solution.

You can edit the front.tpl and remove any unwanted divs. The slider closes 2 divs if hooked into the top so the positioning will be perfect, in some cases like yours the default markup is modified so this becomes a problem.

I`m sorry but you are your own, i have no time to provide support for everyone and resolve unique problems. Check the forum i think there were problems like yours.

Btw slider cant hide the blocktopmenu ...

Hi minic studio

Thanks very much for your module. For don´t be slow my home with your module, I setting mediaserver with statics content and I added {Tools::getCurrentUrlProtocolPrefix()} in src route of images. Example in single.tpl:

<img src="{Tools::getCurrentUrlProtocolPrefix()}static1.mydomain.com/img/1.jpg" class="slider_image" width="600" height="300" /></a>

This works perfect because my bigs images load from subdomain. Now I search any minicSlider.tpl file in module but I don´t found, I need add {Tools::getCurrentUrlProtocolPrefix()}  to JS route for load JS files from subdomain.

Do you know in what file I should modify src route for load .JS from url static1.mydomain.com ?

Kind regards

Hi,

You have to edit the minicslider.php, the js and css files are added via the recommended prestashop method.

$this->context->controller->addCSS($this->_path.'views/js/plugins/nivo-slider/nivo-slider.css');
$this->context->controller->addJS($this->_path.'views/js/plugins/nivo-slider/jquery.nivo.slider.pack.js');

Hi, i got a problem with MinicSlider Module,

Im using PS 1.5.2.0 trying to configure a theme from template monster

http://www.templatemonster.com/prestashop-themes/45349.html

All is set now, but a week ago im trying to get minic slider work, and never happened, i installed the module from the theme and the original module 4.1.5 and doesnt work, also check the hooks, module is is admin panel header, header of pages and top of pages.

When you go to the modulo at backoffice it displays ok, so you press ADD NEW, and then add the image, but when back the image doesnt appear in the panel, and never appears in the front office too, BUT! if you check the ftp, the image went uploaded

Also when you try to add and image, appears the following error

CGI Error

The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.

But nonetheless if you check the ftp, the image will be there, but never appears in back office or front office. Thanks for your help in advance, tried a lot of things to fix it.

Very nice modul but it doesn't work in a multistore mode.

As soon as I change a settings in one shop, it will change in other as well.

Ldon

True, multistore isnt supported.

Hey .. how can I remove the Caption Text Zone

The name of class is "nivo-captio"

Its on display : block

i cant find the TPL file to modify it : the idea is to to a 'DISPLAY : none'

Just leave the caption part empty when you add a new slide. Otherwise you can add display: none via css, located inside the minicslider folder.

Hi, seems server or prestashop related problem. The slider uses the prestashop to upload the images.

The minic slider PRO supports multistore. You can get it from here: https://app.sellwire.net/p/lS

Resolved, after a lot of days trying to resolve this problem, templatemonster support said that, for prestashop windows hosting got a lot of troubles sometimes, so i decided to move it to linux os, and finally minicslider works, if someone got the same error, just change from windows to linux, that was the only way i find to fix it

occupies the whole pagesin-titulo-759979.png

Did you try the "Width and Height configuration" under "Options" under "Module configuration"?

If left empty I suspect it shows actual size of image.  Try to save image as 640px in width and upload.

Personally I wonder how to remove the slight frame around pictures?

vekia do you perhaps have an answer to my question (with enclosed picture) regarding how to remove the slight frame around the minic-slider pictures?  The question is on the previous page and as you can see there is a dark grey colour on the background of both the front Office and the slide pictures and I still can see a border between the picture and the background.

I also noticed that if I uploaded a png the background would be white despite my dark grey background on the rest of the page so I made a jpg with grey background insted (and also saved used space that way).

Still, I really wish to know where to play with borders and colours for the minic-slider.

Since this is a construction site you will need to give me an ip-number so I can allow access for it.

Hi! Great module!!!

But how to make it always full width?

Hi, put the slider into a full width container. Or if needed u can change the width by CSS.

How to add mimic slider on header with 540*80 ,right to logo ,instead of quick search in default theme?..........

Hi, you should edit the hook tpl file and remove the div closing from the beginning and the div opening at the end.

I have a problem in the back office with the length of the url links to the image.

The length is limited and does not work in case of long link. I tried to change "` url `VARCHAR (600)" in minicslider.php but nothing works. Do you have a solution?

Thanks

Reinstall the module, and DO NOT REMOVE FROM THE HEADER HOOK. The scripts and css files will be loaded there, so this is a must.

BTW your site doesnt finds many CSS files, you should fix that.

I think ppl have problems understanding the question?

Since you upload your images directly and there are no "url links to the image" it's kind of hard to understand how there can be a problem with any image links?

There is a field however that enables a click on the image to redirect the customer.

If you write http://www.google.com in that field and click the picture on the public side you will understand what the link does.

Normally you would of course link to the product shown on the picture you click. ;)

Hi,

Thanks for your answer,

but the problem is not the image, but the link to the product page specified in the Minic interface.

Please see attach files for for a better understanding

Thanks

Philippe

What happens if you insert the link www.google.com

Same error I assume?

And then if you change to http://www.google.com instead?  B)

Keep calm, an update is on the way. Meantime you can edit the minicslider.php and increase the size of the link, than reinstall the module.

I think there is a bug in file views/templates/front/front.tpl:

{if $minicSlider.position == 'top'}
        <div style="display:none;">
            <div>
        {/if}

Should not be "display:none". If I set a module after minic slider, it does not appear.

it's related to old ps versions i suppose, this is because old themes has got different construction of top section, anyway, as far as i remember somewhere on board i wrote solution to this

I'm with PS 1.5.4.1! I didn't read whole thread (29p)  :blush:

Hi,

I just tried installing this as an alternative to the default Homepage slider module.

Installed fine but I have a few problems.

When "Disabled", the css is also disabled for the back office.

And when I enabled, then added a slide.

It added ok, but I get a constant loading circle, and the slider image never loads :(

I triedl turning off smarty for js incase that was causing an issue, but still the image never loads.

my site is www.no-match.co.uk

I have disabled the slider now otherwise all customer will see is a big white black space. but could anything else be conflicting with it ?

Thanks

As an improvement, I would like a loading div until slider is not loaded. Now does not appear anything, even it does not fill the height.

The slider should resolve this with a min-height value. Check the first uploaded image and get the height of it and sets that for the slider.

Yes, I upgraded to the latest one and then just went in to backend to add the slide effects and click save, and it could not save the cganges and it got an error.:

Notice: Undefined index: max_height in /home/c1203/hairofbeauty.com/v1560/hair-extensions/modules/minicslider/minicslider.php on line 197

And this is what came up when I debug:
