how to hide or remove Dashboard items

Recommended Posts

I've setup several administrator level users to get our site up

I've setup a Play shop which users can experiment / play on (as a subdomain)

But, with the proper shop I need them to work on the site NOT play!

How can I hide or remove Dashboard items such as :

Prestashop link, Prestashop news & configuration check list

@kingoftheworld_87 I don't know if you've already solved your issue, you can remove the Modules menu by setting up a profile and changin its permissions. Good day

can we remove these items from admin itself instead of editing module? like by just disabling some module?

hello

everything depends on what you exactly want to hide.

in some cases yes, you can just disable addon, in some cases not.

Isnt this infringing some Copyright/ trademark laws?

no, it doesnt. you can change as much as you want, but in files (php etc.) you have to leave information about authors, like it is there by default.

Oh I see. How do I remove the "Help" button on the admin (backoffice) tab? When clicked, it doesn't do anything - All it does is a circular animation thing, and if its not going to show help.. I'd like to remove it.. any suggestions?

You can remove those Dashboard elements by editing:

\ADMIN\themes\default\template\controllers\home\content.tpl
