Pressed0024 Posted September 21, 2012 Share Posted September 21, 2012 I realized that the watermark feature can be circumvent if your competitor is an experienced prestashop user. Basically, they could steal the original product image without the watermark if they follow the /img/ product id and simply type that in the browser URL. There is a certain structure to the path to the original product image. Prestashop should have the ability to randomize the folder name for each prestashop account in backend so that store owner's product images are well secured. I know by saying this, if gives idea to many other thieves out there but prestashop should work on this fast. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Using fireworks or a similar program you can process 2k images in 30 minutes to have watermarks. I don't see why people use the built in prestashop one.
