[1.4.9.0] Changing manufacturers block position based on current page

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Am currently using Prestashop 1.4.9.0 and am left with a question.

I am modifying the existing manufacturers module so that it displays the manufacturers horizontally.

I want this manufacturers block to be displayed in the "top of pages" on the homepage (portal page) but i want this to be moved to the "footer" on all the sub pages.

I have hooked / transplanted the manufacturers block to both "top of pages" and "footer" but this of course, shows both block on ALL pages.

How can i modify this?

Thank in advance!

Okay, i found the solution to this partially already by placing the blocks in both "top of pages" and "footer" and stating Exceptions within the module.

So that in "Footer" the exclusion would be "index.php"

And in "Top of pages" the exclusion would be all the subpages.

But here is a question, which php file is handled on ALL subpages?

Otherwise i need to include all the separate subpages - like category.php, product.php, etc ??

So just to summarize the question again:

In modules i can exclude a module to be shown on the homepage by typing " index.php "

But is there a simple way to target ALL the subpages without having to type in all the separate page names, like "category.php, product.php, etc" ?

Thanks
